By the end of this course, students will:
1. Gain a solid understanding of the fundamentals of Tajweed and its importance in Qur'anic recitation.
2. Learn to recognize and correctly pronounce Arabic letters from their articulation points (Makharij).
3. Understand and apply the rules of elongation (Madd), stops (Sakt), and other essential Tajweed rules.
4. Be able to recite the Qur'an more accurately, following Tajweed principles.
5. Enhance fluency in Qur'anic recitation, ensuring the pronunciation aligns with traditional standards.

Course Content

Introduction to Tajweed
Preparing for the Activity: Introduction to Tajweed Before we begin our journey into the art of Qur’anic recitation, it’s important to understand what Tajweed is and why it matters. Tajweed means "to make better" — it is the science that ensures we pronounce the words of the Qur’an correctly, just as they were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). In this first session, you will: Discover the meaning, origin, and purpose of Tajweed Learn why applying Tajweed is a religious duty for every Muslim Explore how proper recitation connects us spiritually and preserves the Qur’an’s authenticity Come ready to reflect, take notes, and engage in open discussion — this foundation will set the tone for all that follows in your Tajweed journey.

4. Assignments & Quizzes: Students must complete all assigned quizzes and recitation exercises to track progress.
