About Course

“Then Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.” (Luke 1:38)
The  course looks at the life of Mary the mother of Jesus, not from a historical perspective but from a spiritual perspective.  Looking at different titles and portions of her life to see how that impacts our understanding of her and ultimately can lead us closer to her and she can direct us closer to God in our lives.

Through seeing these events and relating them to the bible, both Old and New Testaments, we can see who Mary is in a fuller way. We look eight distinct “roles” of Mary that she had in relations to the life of Jesus and how she lived out that role.   We also look at how we can follow that pathway as well be grow in faith.

Many people have an impression of what they thing the Catholic Church teaches about Mary.  Some of these are misinformed or completely false.  This course seeks to correct some of that so to clarify some of those negative connotations.

Through this course the student should get a greater understanding of Mary as intercessor to Christ and be able to related to her as a perfect Mother figure.  The same way the one would go to their friends and family for guidance and intercession.
